Hola mi nombre es Toto y tengo un problema con BibTeX. El archivo .tex es este:

cite{brust_synthesis_1994}.
ibliographystyle{plain}
ibliography{bibi}

y el .bib es este

@article{brust_synthesis_1994,
title = {Synthesis of thiol-derivatised gold nanoparticles in a two-phase Liquid-Liquid system},
url = {http://dx.doi.org/10.1039/C39940000801},
abstract = {Using two-phase (water-toluene) reduction of AuCl4- by sodium borohydride in the presence of an alkanethiol, solutions of 1-3 nm gold particles bearing a surface coating of thiol have been prepared and characterised; this novel material can be handled as a simple chemical compound.},
journal = {Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications},
author = {Mathias Brust and Merryl Walker and Donald Bethell and David J. Schiffrin and Robin Whyman},
year = {1994},
pages = {801-802}
},
la cuestión es que cuando compilo me da el siguiente error:

! Missing endcsname inserted.
