Hola amigos, como estan? tengo el siguiente problema. Tengo un formulario de login tipo modal, es decir que se carga en mi index.php pero con la propiesdad display:none.

Si se fijan cuando hago clic en enviar se ejecuta la pagina ./php/check.php. Todo eso lo hace bien.

El prblema que tengo es cuando se ingresa un usuario o contraseña incorrecto. Como puedo hacer para mandar un mensaje y regresar al login. No quiero cargar de nuevo todo el index. Quisiera que el mismo formulario me diga "Usuario y pasaword incorrectos". Le dejo el corido del archivo check.php para ver si me pueden ayudar.

Utiliza Ajax y jquery para mostrar el mensaje, te dejo un código para que lo implementes en el tuyo.
