SQL Server - Error al instalar SQL

Hola a todos,

En mi trabajo ahora voy a necesitar SQL Server 2008 R2, pero al querer instalarlo me sale el siguiente mensaje:

TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure.

Configuration system failed to initialize

A qué se debe? será que estoy haciendo algo mal? un tema de software o hardware?

¿Leiste las ESPECIFICACIONES DE INSTALACION?

¿Que EDICION vas a instalar?, ¿64 o 32 bits?

32 Bit en win XP es una portátil de 1 GB RAM y con procesador Intel Dual Core

De entrada te comento que algunas EDICIONES de SQL Server 2008, NO estan soportadas para la version XP.

Insisto, consulta tus ESPECIFICACIONES DE INSTALACION.

Si es una edicion ENTERPRISE, ni lo pienses, es una version solo para WINDOWS (Servidores)
