Tildes latex letter

HOLA!,
necesito ayuda. Yo me basé en una plantilla para generar una carta formal,con un formato descrito en el código de más abajo.
Compila bien, pero por alguna razón las tildes en las letras "a" NO LAS RECONOCE.
Porfavor ayuda, no se como solucionarlo.

En el presente documento se expone el acta de la capacitación y reforzamiento sobre cuidados y mantenimiento de motores neumáticos marca SYNTHES, en el servicio de Esterilización.\\
Se encontró necesario un reforzamiento de estas prácticas debido a la alta taza de fallas de motores neumáticos en el servicio. Este tema fue preocupante debido a que las fallas en motores neumáticos son de gran impacto para el Instituto Traumatológico, debido al alto costo de reparación y/o adquisición de estos. Los costos oscilan desde los \$ 500.000 hasta los \$ 2.000.000 aproximadamente por motor, dependiendo la falla detectada, si es necesario el envío de motores a Suiza (Fábrica Synthes J\&J) y repuestos a utilizar en su reparación. Sin contar que el costo de la adquisición de un kit completo de motores neumáticos oscila entre los \$ 8.000.000.\\
