tengo la tabla peliculas y el campo codpelicula, necesito las instruccion para extraer la informacion del ultimo registro de codpelicula

ADODC1.RECORDSET.MOVELAST

ESO TE LLEVA AL ULTIMO REGISTRO Y ASI LO ACCESAS

MSGBOX ADODC1.RECORDSET.FIELDS("CODPELICULA").VALUE

haber si no te entendi mal, para extraer la informacion del ultimo registro:
Si usas el Objeto Recordset:
if Not Rs.EOF then
Rs.MoveLast
End If
Si usas ADODC:
If not ADODC1.Recordset.Eof then
ADODC1.Recordset.MoveLast
end if
Con eso te ubicas en el ultimo registro y puedes obtener su informacion
