Hola, soy nuevo en este foro y de conocimientos básicos, por lo que la respuesta puede ser simple, pero no he dado con ella:

El problema es el siguiente:
De un JQuery puedo fácilmente colocar un dato en un ID o Clase (de un div) de un php, pero lo que necesito es colocar un dato en una variable (donde no puedo darle id o clase), los códigos son los siguientes:

Necesito colocar el dato en la variable $tema que esta dentro de un (), ¿de que manera puedo extraer el dato del jquery y colocarlo ahí?

Hola Alejandro, ese valor, lo puedes asignar a una variable de javascript para poder ser utilizada cuando sea necesario, no?

No se si he entendido bien tu problema...

Estimado, tratando de explicar mejor, esto es lo que necesito:

Desde un servidor shoutcast se esta leyendo un archivo XML que contiene los datos de currentsong y los 9 temas ya tocados, para ello, se utiliza un archivo llamado yql.php (dejo los códigos al final para que los puedas ver) el cual ademas requiere shoutcast-config.php con los datos de acceso. Luego, un JS llamado pollstation.js (que es el que coloque en el primer post) extrae los datos de yql y la pagina html o php que los lee lo hace a través los ID de los div's... hasta ahí todo perfecto, el problema esta en que le he sumado la api de last.fm para obtener la imagen, lo que de manera independiente, pasando una variable por url funciona, por lo que la idea es ocupar el mismo dato que se escribe en

y colocarla en "nombre del tema"

así lee la imagen con la información que sería currentsong
